Meet Tom

 

Tom has been in the investment advisory and financial services industry for over 50 years; 35 of those years with Robert W. Baird & Company, during which time he spearheaded a move by the Milwaukee-based firm to develop a presence in Florida and the Southeastern U.S.. He was also engaged in the expansion of their European subsidiary as Deputy Chairman of Granville-Baird based in London, England.

Tom’s industry involvement included serving on the District 7 Committee for the National Association of Securities Dealers (now FINRA); chairing and serving on NASD disciplinary hearing panels, and also as a board member of the Florida Security Dealers Association. After retiring from Baird in 2003, he has continued working with a select group of clients as an independent advisor.

Currently, Tom serves on the board of The Players Center for Performing Arts as well as the Play for Life Foundation. He was a founding board member and the first chairman of “The Care Club of Collier County,” an Alzheimer’s and dimentia day care facility serving Southwest Florida; chaired the Development Committee of the USF Institute on Aging; and served on the Executive Committee for the Lifelong Learning Academy.

Tom and his wife, Chris, have 5 grown children together and seven grandchildren – all in Florida. They enjoy golf, travel and music. Tom is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and still holds season tickets (acquired by his father in 1934).
