Karin advises clients and oversees the firm’s operations and corporate administration. Karin’s two decades of prior business experience in banking, real estate franchising, and non-profits have made her well-versed in the accounting and financial planning needs of business owners and corporate executives alike.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner for the last 20 years, Karin graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Miami University (Ohio), has an MBA in Finance from the University of Arizona and holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the State of Florida.
Karin currently serves as Treasurer for both the Suncoast International Women’s Forum and the Sarasota Women’s Alliance. She an active member of Leadership Florida and currently serves as a Take Stock in Children mentor. She has served as Board Chair of both The Selby Foundation and Planned Parenthood of Southwest & Central Florida as well as Treasurer and Vice Chair of the Board of Jewish Family and Children’s Services. Prior Board work has included Pines of Sarasota Foundation, the local Financial Planning Association, the Bradenton Yacht Club (past Treasurer), and Manatee Tiger Bay Club (past Treasurer). She served for several years on the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council, the West Bradenton Rotary Club, the Leadership Manatee Alumni Board and the American Business Women’s Association. She writes a financial planning column regularly for The Bradenton Herald.
Karin’s husband Patrick is an orthopaedic surgeon in Bradenton—the couple has one child, of blessed memory. In their spare time, she and her husband enjoy boating, snow skiing, travel and wine tasting.
