Meet Karin

As Managing Partner, Senior Wealth Advisor for SRQ Wealth, I meet with clients and advise them on their financial plans and provide direction to our operations team to help ensure our clients receive an excellent service experience. I also run/oversee the “corporate side” of our business, including Human Resources, Finance and Compliance.

I’m a graduate of Miami University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. I then went on to graduate from the University of Arizona with an MBA. I am one of the small percentage of all financial advisors who are both CPA and CFP® practitioners.

I spent time working in the corporate world as a CPA, but gradually found myself wanting to apply my financial skills on a more “personal” level in a way that would help individuals and families achieve their own financial goals. I decided to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner – and it was the right choice. Working in this field fits my dream profession exactly!  I learn something new every day and get to meet and work with outstanding people, always with the goal of truly making a difference in their lives.

I am an actively involved in our community because I strongly believe in giving back to the community that has been so kind to me over the years. I currently serve as Treasurer for both the Suncoast International Women’s Forum and the Sarasota Women’s Alliance. I am an active member of Leadership Florida and I have the pleasure of serving as a mentor to a Take Stock in Children student scholar.

Previously, I have served as Board Chair of The Selby Foundation and Planned Parenthood of Southwest & Central Florida as well as Treasurer and Vice Chair of the Board of Jewish Family and Children’s Services.  My other board work has included the Pines of Sarasota Foundation, the local Financial Planning Association, the Bradenton Yacht Club (past Treasurer), and Manatee Tiger Bay Club (past Treasurer). I also served for several years on the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council, the West Bradenton Rotary Club, the Leadership Manatee Alumni Board and the American Business Women’s Association. For more than two decades, I wrote a financial planning column regularly for The Bradenton Herald newspaper.

My husband Patrick is a practicing orthopedic surgeon and we have one beloved son, Max, of blessed memory. In our spare time, we enjoy walking, cycling, boating, snow skiing, travel and wine tasting.
